| | | We knew of each other in high school, but it was not until our children were in the same confirmation class at Sterling United Methodist Church that we started to develop a friendship. In the summer of 2013, that is when our friendship became more. At the start of our dating relationship, we stated that we would make sure that God was at the center. We also said that if any of our children had a problem with our relationship, we would call things off and remain friends.
On April 19, 2014, in Washington, DC while walking the Tidal Basin under the Cherry Blossom trees, Jonathan asked Brietta to be his wife, lifelong partner, and mother to not just 1 child but 4 children. Brietta said yes :-)
The next day was Easter and that was when we got to start planning to to prepare to spend the rest of our lives together and to bring our 2 families together. | | Our ceremony and reception will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015.
The ceremony will take place at Sterling United Methodist Church at 2:00 and will be open to all of our family, friends, and church family/friends. With all of the volunteering and people that we know, it is too difficult for us to not allow them to help celebrate and witness our holy union. Please celebrate and witness the joining of our lives and our families.
The reception will take place at 1757 Golf Club at 4:00 with cocktals starting at 3:00 and will be by invitation only. Again, we know so many people and would LOVE to invite everyone, but unfortunately we have to keep this to only our closest family and friends. Since we are joining not just our lives together, but our two families, we ask for you to also bring your children to help celebrate our holy union of 2 families. | | Our plan is to stay Sunday night in Port Canaveral before boarding the Enchantment of the Seas by Royal Caribbean for a 4 night honeymoon. We will spend one day in Nassau and one day in CocoCay in the Bahamas. We will have one full day at sea before returning home on Friday. This will be Jonathan's very first cruise and Brietta's second cruise. There is lots of excitement for the ceremony, reception, honeymoon, and spending the rest of our lives together, but the question of who is more excited is hard to decide (Jonathan, Brietta, or the 4 children). Blessings! |
