Brena is the daughter of Scott and Angela Wade.  Born in Bulington, Ia which is where she grew up.  Brena attended Burlington Community High School where she was an avid athlete and scholar. From high school Brena moved to Cedar Rapids to attend Kirkwood Community College where she lives at Campus Veiw which is also where she met Matthew Rairden. Currently Brena works at Geico as a customer service representive.

Matthew is the son of David and Melanie Rairden. Born in Corning, IA but grew up in Williamsburg, IA. He attended Williamsburg High School, went on to get his EMT through Kirkwood Community College then enlist in the United States Army as a combat medic. He completed basic training at Ft. Benning GA then IET at Ft. Sam Houston TX. After initial entry training he returned to Kirkwood to get his associated degree in applied science for construction management. He started working at Kirkwood Court and Campus View Apartments where he still works at today and is also where he met Brena.
