Thank you to everyone one who came out to the shower today and a huge thank you to Laura for all of her hard work!  Laura, you did a great job and I am very thankful!  I'm so blessed to have all of these wonderful women in my life and I really enjoyed seeing all of you in one place.  Thank you all for your love and support!

Today we (Matt, his parents, and I) got to try the food that will be served at the wedding!  It was really good!  Even Bruce thought so.  Yay!  Hope that you come hungry!  But since the meal won't be served until 2:30, please be sure to eat breakfast.

Also, the clothing has been figured out for our flower girls and the ring bearer!  I cannot wait to see them all dress up!  So cute :)

Matt and I took a little bit of a break from the wedding planning which is why there have not been any updates.  We spent time in the San Fran area, Matt met my Dad, and then we moved Matt in.  Initially we were going to wait until after the wedding for him to move it, but logistically it just did not make sense.  It's really nice to be living in one place :)

As for the wedding details, this week has been a little crazy.  I ordered the cake and have been working with our reception venue on the food list.  The invitations that you received said that hors d'oeuvres will be served, but it now looks like there will be a full meal!  Yay for food!  Tomorrow, I'm getting the chance to meet with Laura, Daniele, Jill, and Sue to discuss flowers, decorations, and to delegate activities.  Things are starting to all come together, but I just feel as if there are far too many little details to be done and frankly it is overwhelming...hence the delegation process will get back on track.  So thankful for everyone who has been helping out!

Also, thank you to all of you who have already RSVP'd!  Everyday Matt and I check this website and the mailbox to look for more RSVPs!  We have a little contest on who's side will be done first....FYI, I'm losing, badly! Hint, hint to all of my peeps!

Speaking of Matt...I keep encouraging him to write on the blog.  If anyone is actually reading this, feel free to nudge him too.  I know, guys have less to say about this stuff, but I'm sure that someone would like to hear from him, right?

The invitations have been sent!  Yay!  Actually they were sent yesterday and the Las Vegans should have received them today.  We realize that they were sent about a week early, but a lot of work has gone into them and we were excited to put them in the mail.  Plus, we are going out of town for the remainder of the week :).  Matt has not met my dad yet, so it's off to Northern California.  I cannot wait to get to the cooler weather.  It will also be nearly of week of no wedding planning...a much needed break!

Matt's ring has been purchased!  Yay!  He does not however get to see it until I put it on his finger during the ceremony.  A big thank you to Bruce (Matt's Dad) for going with me and helping.  I had a really good time :)

Now, the reception.  Apparently the person that we were working with at the reception venue left and took all of her notes on our wedding with her.  All that the new wedding coordinator knows is the date and that we put a deposit down.  Sigh...oh well.  At least it happened in August and not October.  Now we have an appointment with her to go through the details.

And on a different, but related topic...I can't decide on the centerpieces and I think that I am about to drive Matt and a few other people nuts.  I'm not really sure what my problem is or why I am being so indecisive.  I have 3 people who want to make them and they all have great ideas and I've looked at hundreds of pictures.  So don't be surprised if my indecisiveness wins and every table is completely different.  It just means that I gave up trying to decide.  I frankly do not even know why I am making such a big deal about them.  They are really not all that important in the big scheme of things.  So silly!

Before I started to plan this wedding, I had absolutely no clue as to how much needed to be accomplished!  To be honest, I normally avoided weddings.  They just were not my thing.  Now I have a new respect for anyone putting one together.  I feel as if there are road blocks that keep appearing and it is a bit frustrating.  However, I have an absolutely amazing fiance!  Matt has been here every step of the way and is always asking me what else he can do to help.  I am very blessed to have him and he is so very stuck with me!

Actually there are a number of other people who have been so incredibly helpful and who continually ask me how they can help.  I very much appreciate all of the offers from people who have volunteered to help.  Thank you!

Which one of you pressed the fast forward button on this summer?  I cannot believe that it is almost the end of July!  Only 99 days to go!  While I am very excited, it is crazy how many things still need to be done.  I have been a bit overwhelmed at times and on occasion I still ask Matt if he sure he doesn't want to just elope (don't worry, it is not going to happen.  Sometimes it is just fun to think about).  This week Matt went with his mom (Jill) and Sue (a close family friend) to go pick out his tux.  We decided that I will get to be surprised.  This past Sunday was also our last premarital class at church.  It was actually fun and we learned a lot of helpful tools!  Last week we went cake tasting with Jill and now we just have to decide on the design.  The invitations are coming along, the bride's maids dresses should be in shortly, and the wedding program design has been completed (they still have to be printed and put together).  I never realized how many details there were in a wedding!  Wow!  Right now, it's time for a break in the wedding planning.  Maybe I'll drift off to sleep thinking about the honeymoon cruise!

The final member of our wedding party made her apperance today!  Ellery Jae Hampton-Burnett was born today and Matt and I are very excited that she is here!

Did you know that mailing a square envelope is more expensive than a rectangular one?  I didn’t, but apparently it is.  I’ll give you one guess as to what shape the invitation design was.  Well, back to the drawing board.  It’s not about the money as much as the principle of it.  Thanks to Summer, they have been redesigned and I actually like them better.  I asked Matt about his preference and he said “they look amazing!  It’s up to you”.  I get this answer often from him.  It’s his way of saying that he doesn’t have a strong opinion one way or the other and that I have the freedom to do what I want.  However, ask him about the ice cream sundae bar that he wants and his face lights up!  He has asked for so few things for our wedding and I love ice cream so now everyone can look forward to an afternoon ice cream sundae at the reception!

My goal was originally to update this every two weeks, but so far I've been a bit too busy.  The engagment happened on 4/6 and it has been a whirl wind ever since!  I am excited to say that we have gotten a lot done!  The date and venues are set, the invitation design has been choosen and my amazing friend Summer is going to hand make them all.  My dress and my bride's maids dresses are done, the honeymoon is scheduled, and many of the little details are being worked on.  We are so blessed to have so many amazing people in our lives helping us!  We could not do this without them
