Ryan proposed on Christmas Day 2015. Christmas was Jen's favorite time of year thanks to her amazing parents. Every Thanksgiving the family tradition was to put up the Christmas tree while watching the parade on tv. When Jen and Ryan moved into their new home, her parents gave her the beautiful family Christmas tree and her favorite ornaments. One of her favorite ornaments was a little turtle with a note saying not to open until Christmas Day with the sleeping turtle inside. On Christmas morning, after opening their gifts with baby Samuel, Ryan said "you forgot to open your ornament!" and handed it to Jen. Inside was the most beautiful and perfect ring that Jen could ever dreamed for. After lots of crying and hugging, a yes was spoken and the ring has been on her hand ever since! It was a very meaningful and sweet way to propose and Ryan nailed it.
