Dear Family and Friends:

After six wonderful years of dating and exploring love and life together including four years as a handfasted and engaged couple, we have finally decided to finally set an official date, time, and place to be married and start our life together as husband and wife.  On November 10, 2019, at 1:00 pm Eastern Time, we will get married on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCCL) ship, The Symphony of the Seas.  The location has special meanings for us.  For John, it has meaning since he is a retired US Navy officer who loves the sea.  For Jeanine, this cruise is a special one for people with MS were they can enjoy special activities and excursions.  Since the ship is registered in the Bahamas, we will be getting a special marriage license and certificate from the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.  Next year, we will have a ceremony back in America to share our special time with as many of you as possible.

We will be arranging for a special Facebook Live event so you can watch us say our vows since this is a very small wedding.

For the honeymoon, we will be leaving Miami, Florida on November 9th and going to

- Roatan, Honduras

- Costa Maya, Mexico

- Cozumel, Mexico

- Coco Bay, Bahamas

Then we will be returning back to Miami to start our lives together in Virginia.

Essentially, we have been saving our own money for this event.  If you would like to provide us with gifts for our wedding and honeymoon, there are a couple of ways.  First, we have a honeymoon cruise registry at https://royalcaribbean.honeymoonwishes.com/Honeymoon-Registry-402866-Royal-Caribbean-International-Cruise-Symphony-of-the-Seas-John-Dittmer-Jeanine-Ridl.html.

At this site, you can give to either defray our cruise costs like providing us shipboard credit or gift us something nice if you like such as dinner at one of the ship's specialty restaurants or a couple's massage.  Another way is through RCCL's gift web site at https://www.royalcaribbean.com/royalgifts/gifts.

If you prefer a more traditional wedding registry since will be setting up house, Jeanine has set one up at: www.target.com/gift-registry/gift/ridl-dittmerwedding

Either way, we will appreciate whatever you can share.

Love, John and Jeanine
