After 7 years together, 3 living together, Ryan knew that the time was right to ask Katie to be his wife. That and the fact that Katie had got into the habit of asking "Is it today?" referring to being due a good ring given the effort looking after Dr Devlin was. Knowing her ideal ring was a Tiffany's Heart Cut, Ryan began his cunning plan by out and out telling his future wife that she was never ever getting that ring. Ever. He is most cunning.
Ryan first told his parents about his plans, drawing a few tears from the current Mrs Devlin. Moving on to asking the permission of Katie's father and mother, whilst out delivering a random package to them that he insisted he deliver alone in a suspicious fashion, Mr Baron replied "That would be nice".
Waiting till their 7th aniiversary of their first date, Ryan lit 100 individual candles (successfully not burning his flat down), chilled a bottle of Moet, grabbed a bouquet of red roses and suited up to ask the most important question of his life. Whilst sweating profusely (due to the surprising heat of that many candles), Ryan got down on one knee when Katie entered the living room of their flat and asked her "Will you marry me?"
The answer thankfully was YES!!! |
