Who knew that a little coffee shop in Fairfield, Ohio would change the game so much for two people? We totally didn't. Bre had been a barista at Kidd Coffee for a solid two weeks on the evening her and Brandon first met. She was working her first shift on her own when Brandon came into the shop after looking for a local place to hang out after spending a month on the road. The conversation flowed instantly, and it was clear that a connection had formed. Brandon kept coming back in while Bre was working, until she finally shared her schedule with him so he could come in more often. After a week or two of conversation and getting to know each other, Brandon knew of Bre's journey to find a church, and invited her to his. After cancelling some plans and rearranging her schedule, Bre accepted the invitation to the church that she now calls her home. Following the church service, Brandon invited Bre back to his house as his family was celebrating his 26th birthday that day. Little did Bre know that she would be meeting the ENTIRE family that afternoon. Her pre-scheduled time period of 2 hours to hang out after church quickly turned into 4 more hours of talking and sharing life together. The following week, Brandon and Bre had their first date to Bre's most favorite sub shop (Jersey Mike's), followed by viewing Thor 2 at the movies. Bre was blown away by Brandon's chivalry and all the sweet little gifts and things he did for her. Over the next month, they spent more time getting to know each other. When some uncertainty arose for Bre, Brandon took it in stride and chose to wait it out until Bre had things figured out. Two weeks later, she knew that what she had found in Brandon was a rare man who stood out from any other man she would ever meet, and that was something she would never be able to give up. In her heart, she trusted that God had orchestrated this new relationship to be exactly what Bre needed in her life. Nearly a year of long distance relationship followed as Brandon and Bre learned what it meant to love someone when you can't be with them. While it was one of the more difficult things either of them had ever done, they knew that if they could make it through the rough waters of a long distance relationship, they could make it through anything. Fast forward to December after 10 long months of Brandon being on the road, and the two were beginning to have conversations of marriage and ring shopping. As Brandon began work with a new band, the door opened for Bre to do tons of traveling with him and to have the opportunity to be a part of the other half of his life. The time spent together and the friendships made along the road have been some of their best memories. To tie a bow on the sweet gift of their dating relationship, Brandon asked Bre to marry him on May 11th, in the same coffee shop that they had met at 18 months before. Surrounded by the surprise of friends and family, Bre accepted his proposal and now they are counting down the days until they say "I do."
